50 shades of CRAP

I like a good erotic book once in a while. When 50 shades of grey came out and became a huge bestseller, I thought that it would probably be a piece of crap. Nevertheless I think that to criticise something you need to try it at least once. So I bought the first book.

It is a piece of crap!

The story, the way of writing, the stupid characters that I couldn’t relate at all, the ludicrous sex scenes. I don’t understand all of the high around this book. I really don’t. The only reason that I can think of is that there are a lot of frustrated people out there, that realized for the first time that there isn’t only the missionary position. You can try different things. This was actually a good thing that this book brought on. However, the number of people who have already been admitted to the hospital due to strange attempts on BDSM is rather concerning.

My considerations about the first book:

– I want to be the one to spank Anna. Gimme that whip! She’s so annoying!

– That’s not BDSM! WTH?! That’s a guy with serious problems!

– The contract! GOD! The contract! How many words were spent on this? It took me longer to read this that my own damn work contract!

– Mr. Grey is a gorgeous wealthy business tycoon. AT 27! Really?!

– “Inner Goodness”. Need I say more?

– TAMPON! Because there is nothing sexier than a tampon.

I’ve just read the first book and it was enough. I didn’t see the movie, only some scenes and I hated the actors they chose. They might be good apart, but they seem terrible together.

Now seriously, if your into crappy porn literature, please check my suggestions on Amazon:

Yep, it’s porn books with dinosaurs!!! My selection would be:

museum ravished

It’s as good as 50 Shades of Grey!

Heart of Darkness

As a mother I could barely look at the photo of Aylan Kurdi. I understand why it was published and it actually worked for some time since we all started speaking about the refugees issue a lot more serious.

And as I had imagined that photo had an ephemeral effect, since we have already forgotten that the refuges are families, kids and people who actually need our help. They are running to save their lives, not because of a whim.

I am actually against all pictures like this that are shown on TV, published on newspaper and shared all over the world by social media, because they violate the privacy of the family. No one should ever be forced to see these pictures of their relatives, over and over again.

I hate that we shared this picture as if it were nothing until it got to a point where it is banal.

I hate that there was even an hashtag created (“#kiyiyavuraninsanlik“) with the purpose of sharing the photo.

We have so much information, so many details, so many photos, that it comes a point that we will not empathize with what’s happening. It becomes fiction for us.

Will not sharing the photos or stories help us to recover the humanity in us? No, but I still hate it.

And no I am not Charlie, I was never Charlie, so I’m not even going to speak about that one. I am for Freedom of speech, when that does not stop other people’s freedom. I understand their right to publish whatever they want and I have a right to be offended.

In other news…

My mum tells me that when I was young, really young, around 3 years old, I would prefer to sit in front of the TV watching the news than watching cartoons. While growing up, I kept on doing it, getting to the point of watching 2 or more news reports on a row.

As soon as i got to my “adult” years (I did told you in another post that I don’t wanna be a grown up),I changed, l went from a news addict to watching all the TV series available.

But I did kept on getting informed especially online, I kind of left the mainstream news and started to search for the information everywhere, I still keep some more mainstream channels on my daily news search, but normally when I see something that keeps my interest I just start to navigate along the web, and that’s probably the reason why I also sometimes say that I’m a sort of encyclopedia of useless things.

Nowadays with all the information that we’re able to access we don’t have any excuse to not know what’s happening around the world, unless we want to be happy, because every time that I’m wandering in those news sites, I just keep on seeing how bad we humans are.

(In other news there are also a couple of news that keep me with some hope for us)
